Missing a certain piece to your fundraising puzzle? Seeking an outside perspective and expertise about your fundraising communications can be the key to revamping and re-energizing your development efforts. Grant Savvy provides consulting services for nonprofit organizations that need help building revenue resources and effectively executing grant programs. Some clients engage in ongoing relationships with Grant Savvy and others use our services for special projects or campaigns.

Grant Savvy's consulting services are part of Jigsaw Communications, Inc., and are designed for both small and large organizations. Our focus is on the grant writing process and we pride ourselves in being able to deliver individualized coaching for every client.


PROPOSAL WRITING: We will create a submission-ready grant proposal or application including a compelling cover letter, budget, required attachments and additional documentation requested by the funder. All applications go through multiple reviews to ensure accuracy and readability. We can also work with your organization to create a common grant application, letter of intent and letter proposal.

PROSPECT RESEARCH: Specially created around your organization's specific needs, we will prepare a targeted list of prospective funders and deliver them to you in an easy-to-use booklet. We will provide you with a list of 25 "best fit" foundation prospects that includes application guidelines, contact information, recommendations for ask amounts, recently awarded grants and deadlines. Each booklet also contains a sample grant narrative related to your organization's field of focus (i.e. arts, social services, outreach, etc.), Grant Savvy's Reviewer Checklist and Grant Savvy's Organizational Readiness Checklist. 
  
GRANT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT: Need help keeping your proposal calendar in order? Jigsaw Communications will create a workable grant calendar, set-up reminders about important deadlines and coach you to streamline your processes so that even a one-person development office can keep up with grant submissions! 

GRANT PROPOSAL REVIEW: A qualified grant writing team will review your proposal before you put it in the funder's hand. In less than one week, we will review your proposal for grammar, readability, and persuasiveness. We will also make sure you followed the guidelines correctly. This is a small investment to make sure you get a powerful proposal out the door! 
    **Initial inquiries for services are at no-cost to the client and all services can be tailored to meet your budget and organizational needs.

    In keeping with the commonly practiced ethics of development and grant writing established by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Grant Professionals Association (GPA), Grant Savvy does not work on a commission basis, and fees are never built into the grant request. Most projects are completed on a flat fee per-project basis or a monthly retainer. Fees are determined based on the scope of the project and/or application process, the research required, and the timeline.
